The Secret to Contentment

11 I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. 12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:11-13

So today I’m sharing my favourite scripture verse, which reminds me that contentment IS possible. In this verse the apostle Paul shares with the reader that he has recognized that having strong faith in God, and knowing he can do all things through Him, sets the stage for contentment.

Personally when I read this, I think ‘well what can help Paul… can help me’ and I repeat this verse to remind myself of this truth.

Perhaps this verse can also be a helpful reminder for you the next time you feel unsatisfied or like life isn’t just the way you want it to be.  Stop for a moment and repeat… ‘I know the secret to contentment… no matter what I’m facing… no matter how things are going, I can do ALL things through Him who gives me strength.’  I have found this verse to be so powerful, and life changing.  I hope you can learn to find it to be as impactful in your life.
