On those days when you feel like pulling out your hair or that life’s stresses are actually doing all the pulling, remember to take a DEEP breath, and remind yourself to relax.
It’s impossible to get EVERYthing done, although some how we always want to beat ourselves up for not being able to. Let’s face it, there is always going to be something else that needs to get finished, or that needs our attention.
Soooooo, what do you do?
- 1st remember to recognize and appreciate what you’ve already accomplished so far. Celebrating your achievements big and small is one way of motivating yourself to keep on going.
- 2nd break tasks up into bite size pieces (a little bit of the same thing gets a lot done)
- 3rd know what you just aren’t going to be able to get around to today, and move it out of your way (mentally and or physically) so that it’s not taunting you.
- 4th Be kind to yourself. Give yourself a break. Don’t give that internal critic more ammunition. Fight back instead and tell it (the critic) to put a sock in it. Listening to the critic isn’t going to motivate you to work harder or better, it mostly just drags you down.
So if you find yourself having one of those days…. (Pictured below)…
I hope it starts to get better as of RIGHT NOW!!!!!
