God’s listening

Psalms 91:15 “Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.”

Today I was reminded that no matter how big or how small my need is I can go to the Lord in prayer and know that He listens and cares about what’s concerning me.

Not sure if I’m the only one, but at times I feel ungrateful or petty for some of the concerns I bring to God in prayer, especially when I consider all of what is going on around the world (earthquakes, killings, poverty and starvation…)  The fact is, that no matter what situation we find ourselves in, there is always someone who is dealing with something worse.

That being said, I am so comforted to know that the Scripture states clearly that when I have concerns and bring them to God in prayer HE LISTENS TO ME!!!   I take that to mean that no matter how BIG or how small… what is concerning to me… is concerning to God… And that leaves me feeling very comforted!!!

Knowing God cares about every one of my needs leaves me feeling confident that I can get through whatever I’m going through at any given time.  The biggest think for me is remembering to ‘Breath’.

  • Breath a sigh of relief,
  • Breath a word of prayer
  • Breath a prayer of thanksgiving
  • Or just a Breath to remind yourself that you’re still alive!!

And my encouragement as you take one breath at a time is to remember that God really does care, and does answer our prayers no matter the size.
