Don’t give up on that problem

It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.
– Albert Einstein

Hummmm…. I always enjoy reading quotes from people who have experienced success on their life journey.  I think a part of why I’m intrigued to hear what successful people have to say is because I am wanting to be inspired by them, and am curious to hear their formula for success.

This statement strikes me in particular, because of its simplicity.  I walk away from reading this quote thinking that Mr. Einstein didn’t necessarily consider himself better/smarter than others, but he did realize his willingness to stay with ‘problems’ longer than others.

To me I find that quote inspiring because at times I’ve felt silly… tired… and just FED UP, with particular problems/situations, but in reading this line I am encouraged not to run away from the difficult stuff.  Einstein could have easily been left out of the pages of history if he’d given up and moved onto solving problems that were easier to solve; instead he stuck it out and because of that he’s a legend.
