Day 3

Ok… it’s quarter to midnight so I’ve got 15 minutes to write a quick blog about my 3rd day!!!

So I’ve heard that day 3 is the hardest as the sugar deprivation kicks in.  It was a very full day for me today, and VERY stressful, so I imagined that today was going to be a challenge.  BUT TO MY SURPRISE!!! I found myself feeling so energized and full of life today.  I did long to sink my teeth into a candy bar, but not more that I would normally want to do so on a regular day… lol

I am actually so amazed at how much energy I’m feeling, it hit me as the day came to a close that I woke up extra early this morning after going to bed after 1AM, and if I didn’t just happen to remember, I would NEVER tell.  My eyes weren’t twitching (as they usually do when I’m sleep deprived, or just really tired) and I am still feeling like I could keep going.

I also tried cooking tofu for the first time… ended up burning it!!

But!! I took a bite off one of the ‘non burnt sides’ and it surprisingly didn’t taste that bad!! I’ll throw what I can salvage on top of a salad tomorrow, but I’m not sure if I’ll keep trying to perfect my tofu cooking skills.  To me it tastes like chicken, and if the point of the fast is to obtain from meat and pleasant things, then I think it defeats the purpose to substitute my chicken with tofu (that’s just my own personal conviction)

Anyhow… I am VERY VERY thankful to have gotten through the 3rd day!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!
