13 Days of Love – Day 5

1 Corinthians 13:5

5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

Love doesn’t bring shame on, disgrace, or humiliate.  Seems sensible enough right?!? Kind of makes me wonder why the author even needed to mention this.  I’m guessing because people exhibit these behaviours, while ‘believing’ they are being loving.

Love is not selfish, self absorbed or focused on me… me… me…

Love is not EASILY angered… Makes me think about patience and how useful it becomes when trying not to be easily angered

And finally… Love keeps no record of wrongs…. Ok; I’ll be the first to admit that THIS is a tough one (at least for me).  Hummmmm…. is this a ‘woman’ thing? (keeping a record of wrongs?).  I guess when you think about it, remembering wrong things is different than ‘keeping a record’ of it… i.e. NOT LETTING STUFF GO!
