Courage in the face of fear

“Courage is fear that has said its prayers and decided to go forward anyway.”
Joyce Meyer (I Dare You: Embrace Life with Passion)

I can’t say how much I love Joyce Meyer…. She is truly sooooo inspirational to me.  I’ve lost track of how many times I have felt down, listened to her sermons (I can never just listen to one) and my spirits have been totally uplifted!!!

Today I was thinking about courage and fear.  I appreciate being reminded that courage isn’t the absence of fear… but a commitment to move forward through the fear anyways! Never give up based on feelings of fear.  It’s impossible to be courageous if there is no level of fear present.  The next time you feel scared, think to yourself ‘wonderful!! another opportunity to be courageous’

This type of attitude, along with genuine faith in God is a great recipe for success in my book!

Blessings,

Colleen
